Wilmington High To Administer PSATs, Registration Deadline Coming Up

WILMINGTON, MA — On Saturday, October 15, 2016, Wilmington High School will administer the PSAT exam to sophomores and juniors.  The PSAT is a practice exam that allows students to prepare for the SAT exam.  Students will receive a detailed score report in December.

All WHS juniors are strongly encouraged to take this exam as they should be taking the SAT exam in Spring 2017; in addition, juniors can be considered for the prestigious National Merit Scholarship, based on performance on the exam.  Sophomores who have taken honors-level courses in English and math are also encouraged to take the exam.

All students interested in taking the exam must register by September 20th with Mrs. Murray in the Guidance Office. No late registrations will be accepted.  There is a fee for all test takers this year.  The exam fee is $30; payment can be made in cash or a check made out to Wilmington High School. Students will be receive pre-administration registration information, test day instructions and a booklet to prepare for the exam at registration.

Any questions about the PSAT exam should be directed to the student’s Guidance Counselor.
