Miss The Bruins At Ristuccia? Visit Their New Practice Facility This Saturday

BOSTON, MA – The Boston Bruins, New Balance and Warrior Ice Arena will be hosting a celebratory Community Day Open House at Warrior Ice Arena at Boston Landing (90 Guest Street, Brighton) on Saturday, September 10, from 10am to 7pm, to commemorate the opening of the facility and welcoming the Bruins back to Boston.

The event is free and open to the public and will include public skating on the Warrior Ice Arena sheet and a Boston Bruins Fan Fest featuring Bruins defenseman Kevan Miller and forward Riley Nash (10am to 11am) and Bruins forward Noel Acciari and defenseman Matt Grzelcyk (11am to noon).

The Bruins players mentioned above will be on hand in the Fan Fest section from 10am until noon to take photos, as well as play corn hole and ping pong with fans. The ping pong will be played on a customized Bruins-themed table created by Killerspin. Following the Fan Fest, the table will be relocated to the Bruins player lounge inside Warrior Ice Arena, where it will be used by the Bruins players during the season. This will be an exclusive opportunity for fans to play against Bruins players on the unique ping pong table, which was custom designed and built by Killerspin for the team’s use.

There will be 12, 30-minute public skating sessions (no sticks or pucks allowed) during the Community Day and will be available on a first come first serve basis. Guests are invited to bring their own skates and helmets (not mandatory but encouraged), however rental skates can be rented inside the Warrior Ice Arena lobby, again on a first come first serve basis.  The first session will be at 10:15 a.m. and the final session will start at 6:15 p.m. Please note the sessions may reach capacity, in which case guests would be scheduled for a session later in the day denoted by a color coded wrist band which will be given out at the check-in table located outside the arena on Athletes Park.   Non-skaters are also welcome to view Warrior Ice Arena and will be asked to check-in and receive a wrist band which will give them access to view the arena as capacity allows.

In addition to public skating and Bruins Fan Fest, fans can participate in NB Fitness classes and test out Warrior hockey sticks in a demonstration area.

Food trucks (Boston Baddest Burger, Cookie Monster and Sweet Tomatoes) will be onsite during the afternoon in addition to a limited concessions menu inside Warrior Ice Arena.

Members of the Boston Pride will be in attendance throughout the day as well while Blades the Bruins mascot will be on hand from 10am to 4pm.
