5 Things You Need To Know In Wilmington Today (September 9)

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are FIVE things you need to know in Wilmington for Friday, September 9, 2016.

#1) Mass DOT will be conducting repairs on the Route 38 bridge over the MBTA Commuter Rail line (next to the Town Park) beginning TONIGHT at 8pm through Monday, September 12 at 5am. During the construction, traffic will not be allowed to cross the bridge. Detours will be in place at Lowell Street and Eames Street. Main Street will be closed and the detours will be implemented at 8pm on September 9.

#2) The WHS Varsity Field Hockey team hosts Woburn at 3:45pm at Wilmington High in its season opener. The WHS Varsity Volleyball hosts Lexington at 4:00pm at Wilmington High.  The WHS Varsity Football team hosts Winchester at 7pm at Wilmington High in its season opener.

#3) The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding ONE program — a Drop-In Storytime at 10am. Learn more HERE.

#4) The Wilmington Senior Center (15 School Street) is holding its regular Friday activities — Video Exercise (10am); Special Exercise (11am); Bingo (1pm); and Cards (1pm). Learn more HERE.
