10 Things To Do In Wilmington Today (September 6, 2016)

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are TEN things to do today in Wilmington on Tuesday, September 6, 2016.

#1) It’s the first day school for students at the Boutwell and Wildwood Early Childhood Centers.

#2) Wilmington Cub Scouts Pack 126 is holding an Open House for boys in grades 1-5 from 6:30pm to 7:30pm at Villanova Hall (126 Middlesex Avenue). Learn more HERE.

#3) The Wilmington Board of Health meets at 5:30pm at Wilmington Town Hall (Room 9). Read the agenda HERE.  Topics include discussions of the New England Diner’s floor plans and new proposed town regulations for food trucks.

#4) The Wilmington Planning Board meets at 7:30pm at Wilmington Town Hall (Room 9). Read the agenda HERE. Topics include public hearings for a requests for a special sign permit for the Shriners Auditorium and a subdivision and stormwater management permit for Nelson Acres.

#5) The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding 2 programs today — “Cookin’ The Books” at noon and “Trivia Tuesdays: Teens Take On Fandoms” at 6:30pm. Learn more and regsiter HERE.

#6) The Wilmington Senior Center (15 School Street) is hosting its normal Tuesday activities —  Walking Group (9am); Bocce (9:30am); Aerobics (10:30am); Wii Bowling (12:30pm); and 3B Exercise (2:30pm). Learn more HERE.

#7) The Tewksbury/Wilmington Elks (777 South Street, Tewksbury) holds bingo — open to the public — every Tuesday at 6:45pm. Doors open at 5pm. Pizza, hot dog and pastries are sold. Free coffee.

#8) Red Heat Tavern is holding its weekly bar trivia (pub quiz) with Geeks Who Drink from 7pm to 9pm. Learn more HERE.

#9) Angels In Motion meets every Tuesday, from 9:30am to 2:30pm, at the Wilmington Knights of Columbus Hall (112 Middlesex Avenue).  The club provides a great opportunity for seniors to meet new friends or reacquaint with old ones.  Spend the day playing cards, board games, or just chatting with folks!  A luncheon is served as noon.  There are NO fees. The KofC Hall is handicap accessible.
