WILMINGTON, MA — Here are SEVEN highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Wednesday, August 24, 2016:
- Eric Gordon (28, Methuen) was arrested for OUI (Liquor), Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Revoked License; and Failure To Stop/Yield. Gordon was involved in a crash at Lowell Street and West Street. No injuries noted. (12:29am)
- Police spoke to a Boston Globe delivery driver about speeding in the Marion Street neighborhood. (4:56am)
- Tewksbury Police requested assistance after last night’s suspect was seen running into the woods in the Hill Street area in Tewksbury. Man was then seen hopping fences on Laurie Drive. Suspect was eventually taken into custody at 10 Carlton Road in Tewksbury. (9:24am)
- A Harold Avenue caller reported she was contacted by a person claiming to be from Bank of America, stating her mother had won Publisher’s Clearinghouse Sweepstakes and checking account information was needed to deposit the winnings. Caller did not provide any information and wanted the incident logged. (10:10am)
- A West Street caller reported that approximately 45 minutes ago, her pug was struck by a car. Caller stated she drove the dog to the vet and did not get the information of the operator of the vehicle or the license plate number, but when she returned home, she located the license plate in the roadway. (11:07am)
- Police retrieved a stolen bike from Tewksbury and delivered it to its owner on Scaltrito Drive in Wilmington. (5:51pm)
- A red 2004 Mitsubishi Gallant and a white 2016 Subaru Forester were involved in a minor crash at Shawsheen Avenue and Aldrich Road. No injuries reported. (6:43pm)
