5 Things To Do In Wilmington Today (August 30, 2016)

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are FIVE things to do today in Wilmington on Tuesday, August 30, 2016.

Welcome back to school, Wilmington!

#1) The Red Cross is holding a Blood Drive at the Wilmington Congregational Church (220 Middlesex Avenue), from 2pm to 7pm. Learn more HERE.

#2) The Shawsheen Tech School Committee meets at 7:30pm at the Shawsheen Tech. Read the agenda HERE.  Topics include: Vote on naming the athletic complex; superintendent’s goals & objectives; and reports from the personnel and facilities subcommittee.

#3) The Wilmington Senior Center (15 School Street) is hosting its normal Tuesday activities —  Walking Group (9am); Bocce (9:30am); Aerobics (10:30am); Wii Bowling (12:30pm); and 3B Exercise (2:30pm). Learn more HERE.

#4) The Tewksbury/Wilmington Elks (777 South Street, Tewksbury) holds bingo — open to the public — every Tuesday at 6:45pm. Doors open at 5pm. Pizza, hot dog and pastries are sold. Free coffee.

#5) Red Heat Tavern is holding its weekly bar trivia (pub quiz) with Geeks Who Drink from 7pm to 9pm. Learn more HERE.

PLUS: Angels In Motion meets every Tuesday, from 9:30am to 2:30pm, at the Wilmington Knights of Columbus Hall (112 Middlesex Avenue).  The club provides a great opportunity for seniors to meet new friends or reacquaint with old ones.  Spend the day playing cards, board games, or just chatting with folks!  A luncheon is served as noon.  There are NO fees. The KofC Hall is handicap accessible.
