WILMINGTON, MA — Here are EIGHT highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Saturday, August 20, 2016:
- Police arrested Peter McDonagh (24, Billerica) for OUI Liquor (2nd Offense); Marked Lanes Violation; and Motor Vehicle Lights Violation. McDonagh was arrested on Burlington Avenue after a tip from the Tewksbury Police Department. (2:56am)
- An Oakdale Road caller reported their neighbor was currently using sprinklers. Police notified the Water Department. (10:34am)
- Fire Department responded to a Carbon Monoxide alarm on Patches Pond Lane. (11:39am)
- Wilmington Police notified Tewksbury Police of a complaint received of an elderly driver crossing the double yellow lines several times on Main Street, heading towards Tewksbury. (2:37pm)
- Fire Department responded to a car fire near the 93 North Exit 41 ramp. (4:07pm)
- An Avalon Drive caller reported someone broke into her glove box and went through her belongings. Upon inspection, police saw no signs of prying and nothing was missing. May have been an oversight. (4:12pm)
- A caller reported a dog was left in a car in the Market Basket parking lot. Police responded. Car’s sun roof was open, windows didn’t feel warm, and the dog did not appear in distress. Situation checked OK. (4:13pm)
- Wilmington Police assisted the North Reading Police Department was a large disturbance in Cowabunga’s in North Reading. (5:58pm)
