WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Conservation Commission invites residents of all ages to set a few hours aside and participate in the Annual Town Clean-up Day on Saturday, September 24, 2016, from 8am to noon (rain date: Saturday, October 1).
The Conservation Commission is seeking volunteers to help beautify Wilmington’s parks and streams by removing man-made debris.
Participants are asked to meet at the DPW Building (135 Andover Street) at 8am. The Wilmington Conservation Commission will provide work gloves on a first-come, first-serve basis and trash bags. Please bring hip boots, if you have them.
Help beforehand by letting the Planning & Conservation Department know of any town-owned parcels and wetland areas that need to be cleaned by contacting Winifred McGowan at wmcgowan@wilmingtonma.gov or 978-658-8238.
