Stolen Patriots Helmet Anonymously Returned To Restaurant, Investigation Continues

FOXBOROUGH, MA — Earlier this week, the Foxborough Police Department asked for the public’s help in identifying a man who stole a 2014 team autographed New England Patriots helmet from Skipjack’s Restaurant in Foxborough.  The man also failed to pay his tab.

The bartender told the police that the man’s license indicated he lived in Wilmington.

While the man’s identity remains unknown, he did return the helmet to the restaurant, along with some cash to cover his tab and a hand-written apology note.  The restaurant received the items in a package in the mail on Wednesday.

The restaurant does not intend on pressing charges.

The Foxborough Police Department is still investigating the matter. If you have any information regarding this incident, contact Detective Timothy O’Leary at 508-543-1212.
