UPDATE: Wilmington Police Investigating Serious Motor Vehicle Crash

WILMINGTON, MA — On Tuesday evening, August 23 2016, at approximately 10:00 p.m. the Wilmington Police Department responded to a single vehicle crash at the intersection of Lake Street and Jaques Lane.

Upon arrival officers found a 2012 Honda CRV with heavy all around damage.

Both occupants of the vehicle appeared to have sustained serious injuries.

The operator, a 40 year old male from Wilmington, was transported to Lahey Clinic. The passenger, a 37 year old male from Tewksbury, was transported to Mass General Hospital via MedFlight.

Preliminary witness reports indicate excessive speed may have been a factor.

The crash is currently under investigation with the assistance of the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section.
