WILMINGTON, MA — Here are EIGHT highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Tuesday, August 16, 2016:
- A Mill Road caller reported the newspaper delivery driver is speeding through the neighborhood and its an ongoing issue. (5:27am)
- Police notified DPW over a large tree down on West Street, blocking the road. Police shut down a portion of the road while DPW worked to remove the tree. (6:26am)
- A Chestnut Street resident reported his trash barrel went missing between 6:30pm on Monday and 4am on Tuesday. (1:05pm)
- A health advocate reported finding drug paraphernalia in a Glendale Circle home while checking on an elderly party. Police retrieved hypodermic needles for disposal. (2:38pm)
- A caller reported an unknown species of animal was in her yard and not scared off by the honking of a car horn or revving of the engine. Caller was afraid to get out of the car. Police responded. Animal was a cat, believed to be missing from 61 Faulkner Avenue. Police were unable to detain the cat, which ran into the woods. (3:30pm)
- Police assisted with traffic while the Water Department responded to a water main break on Salem Street. (6:37pm)
- A caller reported a mechanical piece of the car wash at Triton Car Wash came through his car window. (10:05pm)
- Ryan T. Fullen (19, Tewksbury) was issued a summons for assault with a dangerous weapon. Fullen was pulled over after Tewksbury Police alerted Wilmington Police of a road rage incident in Tewksbury. Police retrieved a black semi-automatic BB pistol from Fullen’s vehicle. (10:09pm)
