WILMINGTON, MA — Here are FIVE things to do today in Wilmington on Tuesday, August 23, 2016.
#1) The Wilmington Board of Registrars meets at 11am at Wilmington Town Hall (Small Conference Room). Read the agenda HERE. Discussion topics include early voting, a WHS voter registration drive, and the possible need for a Warden in Precinct 3. The ballots will then be tested at 1pm.
#2) The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding a series of book discussions today on various titles assigned to WHS students this summer. Learn more and register HERE.
#3) The Wilmington Senior Center (15 School Street) is hosting its normal Tuesday activities — Walking Group (9am); Bocce (9:30am); Aerobics (10:30am); Wii Bowling (12:30pm); and 3B Exercise (2:30pm). Learn more HERE.
#4) The Tewksbury/Wilmington Elks (777 South Street, Tewksbury) holds bingo — open to the public — every Tuesday at 6:45pm. Doors open at 5pm. Pizza, hot dog and pastries are sold. Free coffee.
#5) Red Heat Tavern is holding its weekly bar trivia (pub quiz) with Geeks Who Drink from 7pm to 9pm. Learn more HERE.
PLUS: Angels In Motion meets every Tuesday, from 9:30am to 2:30pm, at the Wilmington Knights of Columbus Hall (112 Middlesex Avenue). The club provides a great opportunity for seniors to meet new friends or reacquaint with old ones. Spend the day playing cards, board games, or just chatting with folks! A luncheon is served as noon. There are NO fees. The KofC Hall is handicap accessible.
