WILMINGTON, MA — Here are ELEVEN highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Saturday, August 13, 2016:
- A Forest Street resident reported his mailbox was knocked over last night. (9:37am) Police noticed another Forest Street mailbox was knocked over. (9:56am)
- A Moore Street resident reported his mailbox was knocked off post and damaged sometime overnight. (10:42am)
- A black 2008 Honda Civic and a red & black motorcycle were involved in a crash near the 93 North Exit 40 ramp. State Police handled the scene. Fire Department responded. Injures unknown. (12:29pm)
- Police noticed a juvenile on the top of the roof of the Snack Shack. Police were told a juvenile wearing a tie-dyed shirt was on the roof and then ran into the woods. Police could not locate the juvenile. No damage was done to the Snack Shack. (3:23pm)
- A motorist reported a man, at Shawsheen Avenue and Carter Lane, jumped in front of his car and, when stopped, was persistently asking for a ride. (4:27pm)
- An anonymous caller reported the owner of the Shell Gas Station on Middlesex Avenue parks vehicles on the sidewalk. Police advised the owner. (4:30pm)
- 2 dogs were spotted walking down the train tracks on Main Street behind Firestone. Police located the dogs owners on Kirk Street and advised them. (4:37pm)
- Fire Department responded to a grill fire on Middlesex Avenue. (6:08pm)
- A walk-in party cleaned out their father’s house and brought in a trash bag full of syringes, medications and hypodermic needles for destruction. (9:16pm)
- Burlington Police reported 3 black individuals were banging on the front door of 1 Park Drive in Woburn, trying to gain entrance. They left in a silver BMW, with New Hampshire license plates, and headed towards Wilmington. Burlington Police stopped the vehicle. The group of individuals were looking for the same address, but in Waltham. Situation was a misunderstanding. (11:01pm)
- A Middlesex Avenue caller reported an unknown man knocked on his door and then attempted to enter. Police responded. The man was a new employee for a group home in town and went to the wrong house. (11:30pm)
