POLICE LOG for August 12: Wallet Stolen From Gym Locker; Wilmington Man Arrested

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are SEVEN highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Friday, August 12, 2016:

  • Dino Esposito (58, Wilmington) was arrested on a warrant of apprehension and taken to Woburn District Court. (10:18am)
  • A caller reported 5 trucks with construction equipment parked in roadway of Burt Road, making it difficult to get around. Police responded and paving company moved a trailer out of the travel lane. (12:40pm)
  • A green 1995 Dodge Dakota and a black 2012 Honda Accord were involved in a minor crash at Main Street and Burlington Avenue. (1:21pm)
  • Police noticed four individuals loitering near the foot path on Main Street. Police sent them on their way. A backpack was left behind containing one bear, which was brought back to the station for disposal. (4:03pm)
  • A blue 2013 Honda Civic and a gray 2013 Mazda 3I were involved in a minor crash at Main Street and Cross Street. (4:34pm)
  • A caller reported her car was hit in the parking lot of a Lowell Street business. The other car did not stop. The caller’s front bumper and side light markings were taken out. Police advised caller to contact her insurance company. (5:30pm)
  • A caller reported the lock to his locker at Planet Fitness was cut and his wallet was taken. (8:57pm)
