WILMINGTON, MA — Here are NINE highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Thursday, August 11, 2016:
- Police restored the peace after a report of an assault on Taft Road. (12:51am)
- Police noticed a vehicle operating on the wrong side of the road on Lowell Street. Driver said he was looking for a place to eat. Situation checked OK. (1:30am)
- A Marion Street resident reported three tires on their Ford pick-up truck were flashed overnight. (7:38am)
- Police received a report of a pitchfork in the road at Aldrich Road and Shawsheen Avenue. Item was already gone by the time police arrived. (7:44am)
- A gray 2002 Kia Sorrenta and a gray 1999 Volkswagen Passat were involved in a minor crash near ReMax on Main Street. (9:32am)
- 3 kittens were surrendered from a Hillcrest Street home. Kitens were taken to the Northshore Animal Center. (10:18am)
- A walk-in party reported being a victim of a fraud scam. (6:13pm)
- A passerby reported that a man at Glen Road and Main Street was stumbling, bleeding from the mouth, and urinating in the middle of the street. Police responded. Man claimed he was assaulted behind Ristuccia Arena by two men. Police located some of the man’s belongings and notified a family member. Lt. Pupa was also notified. (6:43pm)
- A group of youths were yelling and swearing outside of Town Hall. Police sent the kids on their way. (11:51pm)
