Registration begins 30 days prior to the event. Please register online using our Calendar of Events at www.wilmlibrary.org or by calling (978) 694-2099 (for Adult) or (978) 694-2098 (for Children/Teen). Job Tips from One Who Knows *RR

Nancy Drees, Principal and Founder of Vacare Group, provides recruiting services to start-up technology companies helping them hire candidates across multiple disciplines. Nancy will share what employers are looking for in candidates, how you can best conduct a job search through non-traditional methods, and how to best prepare for an interview.

Featured Book: Modern Romance by Aziz Ansari
Location: Golden Ginger in Wilmington
A social book group geared towards readers in their 20’s and 30’s. The group meets on the first Thursday of every other month. The book discussion will be hosted by librarians from the Wilmington and Reading public libraries. Meeting location rotates between Wilmington and Reading.

Cookin’ the Books

Featured Cookbook: Mexican Everyday by Rick Bayless
If you love to cook and enjoy talking about food and sharing recipes, then this book group is for you. Please stop by the library to pick up a copy (or find a recipe from the book online), select a recipe, and then email your recipe selection to book club leader Lisa Crispin (lcrispin@wilmlibrary.org). Bring your dish to the meeting, enjoy sampling everyone’s dishes, and enjoy the company.

Great Decisions Series (limit 28, cost $25 for briefing book)
Mondays September 12, 19, 26, Oct. 3, 17, 24, 7 pm

This six-session Great Decisions program will focus on some of the most thought-provoking foreign policy challenges facing Americans: Middle East Alliances, The Rise of ISIS, The Future of Kurdistan, Migration, The United Nations, and Climate Change. Participants will use a briefing book published by the Foreign Policy Association and will be led in discussion by facilitator, Keith West.

Registration for Storytimes
Registration for the fall session of storytime that runs from September 5 to October 10 is underway. Please register online at http://www.wilmlibrary.org or call the Youth Services Department at 978-694-2098.

Library News

Fitness Gift Basket Winner
Teresa Smith is the winner of the Friends of the Library fitness gift basket. Thanks to everyone who purchased a raffle ticket! All proceeds helped fund the End of Summer Bash.

Skillshare Workshops
Skillshare brings together people willing to share their special knowledge and skills related to their hobbies or crafts with others through library supported workshops. Are you skilled at gardening, canning, documentary making, fishing, bike maintenance or some other skill you are willing to share? If so submit an application by December 31st to participate in Skillshare Workshops @ WML. Applications available at the library and at http://www.wilmlibrary.org. Workshops selected for Skillshare will be scheduled during the spring of 2017 most likely on Thursday evenings or Saturdays. Dates and times will be confirmed with the presenter.
