POLICE LOG for August 9: 4 Juveniles Run Away From Milestone; House Condemned

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are TWELVE highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Tuesday, August 9, 2016:

  • An employee from the Milestone Group Home on High Street reported 4 juveniles ran away from the program. Police located 2 of the runaways in the woods on Federal Street and returned them to the home. The 2 other missing juveniles would eventually return to the program. (12:39am)
  • A debit card was found in the drive thru at Sonic. (9:37am)
  • The Wilmington Board of Health condemned a house on Middlesex Avenue. Police assisted town officials. (9:38am)
  • World Courier on West Street reported a terminated employee has been making harassing phone calls to the company and other employees. Police advised the business of the no trespass process. (10:03am)
  • Water Department issued a fine over a landscaping company — Emanuel Brothers — connecting to the town’s fire hydrant while working on the lawn near the FedEx building on Industrial Way. (10:31am)
  • Wilmington and North Andover Animal Control Officers received 5 kittens which were surrendered from a Hillcrest Street home. Kittens taken to Muddy Creek Animal Care Center in Rowley. (10:42am)
  • John R. Tobin (31, Wilmington) was arrested on a warrant of apprehension. (2:26pm)
  • Fire Department responded to a brush fire at Winchester Family Medical Center on Salem Street. (2:53pm)
  • Police received report of a light brown van driven by an elderly male nearly striking a responding fire truck head on.  Van was last seen in the area of Route 62 and Wildwood  Street. Police were unable to locate the vehicle. (2:59pm)
  • A man reported someone possibly stole the title to his vehicle. (4:22pm)
  • A Grand Street resident reported unauthorized use of credit cards. (4:25pm)
  • Fire Department responded to a car fire on the 93 North Exit 41 ramp. (5:27pm)
