OBITUARY: June E. (Baxter) Ananian, 87

WILMINGTON, MA – June E. Ananian (Baxter), age 87, of Wilmington, formerly of Burlington, died peacefully on August 8, 2016, at the Winchester Hospital.

June was born on June 4, 1929, in Woburn, MA; she was the dear daughter of the late Leaman and Matilda (Chester) Baxter.

June was the beloved wife of the late Zaven Ananian, devoted mother of Steven Ananian & his wife Betty of Wilmington and Mark Ananian & his wife Nicole of Burlington. Loving “Nani” of Beth Ananian, Brittney Ananian, and Carley Ananian. Dear sister of Madeline “Sis” MacDougall & her late husband Mack of Billerica, Leaman Baxter & his wife Patti of Groveland, the late Jack Baxter & his wife Ann, the late Phyllis Martin & her husband George, and the late Billy Baxter. June is survived by her sister-in-law Mina Baxter of Cumberland, PA, as well as many nieces and nephews.

June will be fondly remembered as a quiet lady who was very sweet and kind to everyone. She loved spending time with her family and working out in her yard. June had a “green thumb” and was an extremely talented gardener; her yard was always kept “just so” and her flower gardens were amazing.

Family and friends will gather at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, on Thursday, August 11th at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 126 Middlesex Ave., Wilmington, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Chestnut Hill Cemetery in Burlington.

Visiting hours will be held at the Nichols Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 10th from 4:00-8:00 p.m.
