POLICE LOG for July 30: 2 Summons Issued, Police Called Over Chili’s Customer, Motorcycle Crash

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are TEN highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Saturday, July 30, 2016:

  • Evan Guy Wattles (28, Tewksbury) was issued a summons for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. (11:05am)
  • A caller reported a dog was left in a vehicle with its windows barely down in the parking lot of Target.  Vehicle’s operator returned to his vehicle and drove off before police arrived. (11:45am)
  • An anonymous caller reported the Kilby Street street sign has been stolen. (12:08pm)
  • An individual dropped of several rounds of ammunition of various calibers in a green bag for destruction at the Public Safety Building. (2:55pm)
  • Jeffrey Keo (30, Lowell) was issued a summons for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. (3:25pm)
  • A Chili’s employee requested a well-being check for a female customer who seemed unsteady after one glass of wine.  Customer laid on the bench outside and then sat between two cars in the parking lot.  Woman was gone by the time the police arrived. (5:24pm)  Police returned and found the woman still located in the lot.  They placed her in protective custody. (5:39pm)
  • A motorcycle struck a parked car on Arlene Avenue.  Fire Department transported motorcyclist to the hospital. (5:36pm)
  • Fire Department responded to a brush fire near Elia’s parking lot. A passerby extinguished the fire prior to the Fire Department’s arrival. (6:11pm)
  • A caller reported several cars were doing burnouts in the roadway on Woburn Street. (7:32pm)
  • A caller reported an excessively loud party on Second Avenue. Police responded and advised the homeowners to keep the noise down. (10:30pm)
