POLICE LOG for July 29: Market Basket Employee Accidentally Locked In; Kittens Found

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are NINE highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Friday, July 29, 2016:

  • Fire Department responded to power lines down in a backyard on Emerson Street. (10:22am)
  • K9 Ridic was a part of a demonstration for the Little Junior Police Academy. (12:13pm)
  • An unspecified Ballardvale Street business reported that a vehicle drove through its parking lot and spilled paint throughout and left the paint can in the dumpster. Manager will check security footage. (12:39pm)
  • Police responded to a disturbance at Avalon Oaks West on Evergreen Drive. A resident of the complex caused a loud disturbance in the main office after being served with a civil eviction notice. Police restored the peace. (12:56pm)
  • A gray 2011 Honda Pilot and a blue 2016 Toyota Sienna were involved in a crash on Main Street. No injuries reported. (3:37pm)
  • A Corey Avenue caller reported she found 4 kittens in her backyard. Animal Control Officer was notified and will follow up. (8:23pm)
  • Timothy J. Palladino (35, North Reading) was arrested on two outstanding warrant. Police checked on Palladino when they noticed he was sleeping in his vehicle in the Target parking lot. (8:38pm)
  • A caller reported a children’s bike was smashed in the middle of the road on Faulkner Avenue. Caller saw three kids in the area when she noticed the bike. (10:19pm)
  • Police received notification from Market Basket’s security company that an alarm was just triggered inside the store. Police received a call from an employee who stated they were accidentally locked inside the store. Employee was able to leave the store, but the alarm is still sounding. Night manager responded to shut alarm off. (10:21pm)
