WILMINGTON, MA — In celebration of October as Italian Heritage Month, the Wilmington Sons of Italy and the Italian Heritage Month Committee are holding their 7th Annual Golf Tournament.
This year’s event will take place on Friday, September 30, 2016, at the Merrimack Valley Golf Club in Methuen, Massachusetts. Tee time is 8:30 am, a shotgun start and a scramble format.
Donation of $125 per player includes a continental breakfast, breakfast sandwich at the turn, luncheon buffet, green fees, golf cart, goodie bag and gift. There will be contests on the course which will include closest to the pin and a 50/50 raffle hole. Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams with the lowest scores.
All proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Alzheimer’s Association, Cooley’s Anemia Foundation and the Italian Heritage Scholarship Fund.
If golf is not your sport, but you are interested in making a charitable donation, you can become a sponsor. For just $100 or $50 you or your business can sponsor a Hole or Golf Cart. Your name will appear on a sign which will be prominently displayed. The committee is also accepting raffle donations. Those of you just wanting to enjoy a delicious luncheon buffet, tickets are available at a donation of $30.
