POLICE LOG for July 19: Wilmington Man Arrested For OUI (Drugs); Dog Bite At Dog Park

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are NINE highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Tuesday, July 19, 2016:

  • Gerald Ahern (Wilmington, 48) was arrested for an OUI (Drugs); Negligent Operation of Motor Vehicle; and Warrants. Ahern was arrested in the Burger King parking lot after an employee called 911 when he noticed a male in a red 2009 Toyota Tacoma not moving. (12:44am)
  • Police noticed a suspicious person at Grace Chapel on West Street.  Individual was playing Pokemon Go.  Police sent him on his way. (1:44am)
  • A Serenoa Lane caller reported 2.5 hours ago, his wife heard the garage door open. She checked the area and did see anyone.  The caller then arrived home and also checked the house.  He found a second door open that is usually locked. Police responded and situation checked OK. (10:22am)
  • K9 Ridic underwent training at the Boutwell Early Childhood Center. (1:27pm)
  • Animal Control Officer responded to the Town Dog Park to investigate a dog bite. Officer subsequently issued a 10-day order of quarantine to a dog. (2:15pm)
  • An employee at As Good As It Gets reported her iPhone 6 was stolen from her waitress stand sometime between 11am and 1pm. (2:58pm)
  • A black 2012 Toyota Prius and a white 2006 Volkswaggen Jetta were involved in a crash in the Heavenly Donuts parking lot. (3:48pm)
  • Manta Salguero-Aguilar (36, Billerica) was issued a summons for Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Failure To Stop/Yield. (5:48pm)
  • A walk-in party reported his bike was taken from outside Panera Bread at Wilmington Plaza. (9:48pm)
