POLICE LOG for July 17: Mailboxes Damaged; House Tomatoed; More Pokemon Go At Midnight

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are NINE highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Sunday, July 17, 2016:

  • Police noticed six individuals were in the Town Hall parking lot. Situation checked OK. Individuals were playing Pokemon Go and sent on their way. (12:39am)
  • Police responded to report of an intoxicated person at the Shell Gas Station. Individual took an Uber home. (2:59am)
  • A Chestnut Street resident found their mailbox in the street. (3:02am)
  • A blue 2008 Chevy Silverado and a gray 2011 Honda Pilot struck a deer and killed a deer on Lowell Street. Minor damage to the Silverado. No injuries to drivers. (7:56am)
  • A large amount of glass was found in the roadway of Cunningham Street at Allston Avenue, causing a hazard. Police contacted DPW. (9:03am)
  • A Marion Street caller reported his mailbox was damaged overnight. (10:17am)
  • A Crystal Road caller reported three juveniles were ringing doorbells. One may have knocked off a mailbox. Police responded. All mailboxes appeared intact. (8:39pm)
  • A Kilmarnock Street resident reported his house was tomatoed. (10:51pm)
  • A Burger King employee reported a man entered the restaurant after closing and refused to leave. Man left while employee was on the phone with the police. (11:01pm)
