POLICE LOG for July 16: Teen Reports Harassment; Pokemon Go At Midnight; Unruly Beachgoers

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are SEVEN highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Saturday, July 16, 2016:

  • Police conducted a check of Town Hall and came across a group of juveniles gathered near the front door playing Pokemon Go.  Police advised the group and escorted them off the property. (12:51am)
  • A caller reported live rounds were left on the side of the road on Lowell Street. Police responded. No further details provided. (8:42am)
  • Woburn Police Department reported a hit & run on Presidential Way in Woburn. Vehicle may have been heading towards Wilmington. Police were unable to locate. (11:29am)
  • A fire hydrant was leaking on Andover Street. Dispatch notified the Water Department. (1:41pm)
  • A caller reported a vehicle left the 99 Restaurant on Lowell Street and struck a sign. (4:46pm)
  • Lifeguard requested police assist in removing a group of beachgoers who are violating the rules by smoking and swimming beyond the barrels. Police responded and restored the peace. (4:48pm)
  • A juvenile, in the area of Ristuccia Arena, reported he was being harassed by another juvenile, who stole his bike. Police responded and spoke with all juveniles involved. (5:00pm)
