SELECTMEN NEWS: Big Issues To Be Discussed At Tonight’s Meeting

WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Board of Selectmen meets this Monday, July 18 at 7pm in Room 9 of Town Hall.

There is a great deal on the agenda, including:

  • Selectmen will consider the request of Lawrence I.F. Evans (owner of Larosa’s) for a common victualer license for property located at 269 Main Street, Unit 211. The new restaurant would be located at the former Pink Melon location, next to The Cleaner Spot, in the Wilmington Crossings plaza.
  • Selectmen will receive a presentation from Wilmington Assistant Town Manager Kendra Amaral & Town Engineer Paul Alunni on the Yentile Farm Recreational Facility Project.
  • Selectmen will receive a presentation from Wilmington Director of Planning & Conservation Valerie Gingirch on the Town’s Hazard Mitigation Plan and a Conservation Restriction on Murray Hill Estates.  Selectmen will then consider adopting the plan and executing the restriction.
  • Selectmen will recognize longtime Board of Appeals Chair Charles Boyle, who recently stepped down from the Board.
  • Selectmen will receive an update on the Town’s new website.
  • Selectmen will receive a letter from Paul Brozo expressing an interest in the vacant seat on the Board of Appeals.
  • Selectmen will consider the request of the Wilmington Rotary Club to use Rotary Park for the 2nd Annual Community Ice Bucket Challenge on Sunday, August 27.
  • Selectmen will consider the request of Police Chief Begonis to place banners on the Town Gazebo for the purpose of advertising National Night Out on August 2.
  • Selectmen will consider the request of Sal Dambauskas to appoint Robert Iantosca as a Public Weigher for the Town of Wilmington.

The meeting will be telecast live by Wilmington Community Television on WCTV-G — Channel 22 on Comcast and Channel 38 on Verizon.  The meeting will also be streamed on WCTV’s website HERE.
