POLICE LOG for July 11: Pokemon Go After Dark; Donation Bin Missing; Porta Potty Problems

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are NINE highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Monday, July 11, 2016:

  • Police noted the porta potty by the Boutwell and Middle School had been knocked over. Police notified DPW. (12:58am)
  • Police investigated suspicious behavior in a car in a parking lot on Middlesex Avenue. Situation checked OK. Individual were playing Pokemon Go. (1:40am)
  • A caller reported a woman was on the side of the road on Chestnut Street “digging for rocks.” Police responded. Woman was collecting rocks for a craft project. (8:41am)
  • Fire Department responded to a crash on Chestnut Street. A red 2000 Nissan Sentra struck a pole and went off the road. Vehicle was towed. Driver refused medical treatment. Driver was cited for failure to stay in marked lane.  (8:14am)
  • Police checked on the skate park. 6 juveniles using the park were not wearing helmets. Police spoke with group and advised them to go get their helmets. (1:27pm)
  • A green 2010 Toyota Camry and a blue 2006 Chevy Malibu were involved in a crash at Chili’s on Main Street. No injuries reported. (1:56pm)
  • A Horseshoe Lane resident reported identity theft. (6:00pm)
  • Police received report that the clothing drop-off bin in the Colonial Mall on Lowell Street was missing. (6:52pm)
  • Police notified Mass Highway Dept. that the 45 MPH sign located on Route 125, south of Andover Street, is completely obstructed by trees. (9:33pm)
