WILMINGTON, MA — Barbara Raab, Youth Services Librarian at the Wilmington Memorial Library, will be riding in the Pan Mass Challenge next month.
Last year, Barbara rode the 25-mile route over 2 days after she completed treatment for breast cancer at Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
This year, Barbara intends on riding 50 miles.
“I feel so fortunate to have had such wonderful care at Dana Farber, and that my cancer was easily treatable. But there is still so much more research that needs to be done, so I want to do whatever I can to help,” says Raab. “The patrons of the library were so supportive of me when I was going through cancer treatment, and I hope that they will be willing to support me in this ride.”
100% of the money raised by riders goes to support adult and pediatric patient care and cancer research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute through the Jimmy Fund.
Donations to support Barbara’s ride can be made HERE, or checks made out to Pan Mass Challenge can be mailed to Barbara Raab, 24 Captain Brown’s Lane, Acton, MA 01720.
