WILMINGTON, MA — Samantha Onessimo, of Wilmington, graduated from the Academy of Notre Dame during the 162nd upper school commencement ceremony on June 5.
Onessimo contributed to the community at the private, all-girls Catholic high school through participation in NDALDA, a student-run organization that aims to educate people about learning disorders as well as other disorders that affect learning. She was a senior liturgical coordinator, member of the Mission and Ministry Core and served as the yearbook editor. Academically, Onessimo earned honor roll, principal’s list and the Ann Boumila Memorial Scholarship.
Onessimo will be attending Emmanuel College to study elementary education in the fall. She said the academy has prepared her well for what lies ahead, but she will always remember the memories she made at the school.
