WILMINGTON, MA — Here are TEN highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Wednesday, July 6, 2016:
- A minor crash occurred on the 93 over pass above Lowell Street. State Police handled the scene. State Environmental Police also responded. One vehicle was towed. Fire Department transported one individual to the hospital. (7:20am)
- A North Street resident reported a mattress was left in his yard overnight. Police spoke with a neighbor, who believed it to possibly be the work of youths in the neighborhood. Police notified DPW for removal. (7:45am)
- An Earles Row caller was concerned about a fisher cat in her backyard. Animal Control Officer responded. (8:39am)
- A wild turkey, attempting to protect its offspring, chased a resident on Castle Drive. (9:16am)
- A Kilmarnock Street resident reported an injured in hawk in his yard. Animal Control Officer retrieved the hawk and brought it to Tufts Cumming School of Veterinary Medicine in Grafton. (11:39am)
- Recreation Department requested an officer to speak with a group of youths that continuously ride with their scooters and bikes through the youth program area at the Shawsheen School. (12:03pm)
- A white 2006 Toyota Avalon and a black 2013 Ford Explorer were involved in a crash near Remax on Main Street. Both vehicles were towed. No injuries towed. (1:32pm)
- A caller reported ATVs in the roadway on Border Avenue. (5:39pm)
- A Summer Street resident reported neighborhood teens were trespassing on her lawn and taking things from her yard. (6:14pm)
- A caller lost a 14K gold ring at Town Beach. (7:03pm)
