WILMINGTON, MA — Here are EIGHT highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Wednesday, June 29, 2016:
- Fire Department responded to The Corner Store on Shawsheen Avenue after the smell of gas was reported. (6:29am)
- A black 2012 Jeep Wrangler and a black 2004 Toyota Camry were involved in a minor car accident at Burger King on Lowell Street. No injuries reported. (6:55am)
- Police issued a citation to a driver for operating an unregistered vehicle. The blue 2008 Hyundai Entourage was pulled over on Main Street for having license plates that didn’t match the registered vehicle. Vehicle was towed. (8:05am)
- Martin P. Finch (36, Medford) was issued a summons for dumping from a motor vehicle more than 7 cubic feet of trash. Finch was captured on surveillance video dumping debris from a UHaul truck into a dumpster belonging to Lubrizol Advanced Materials on Lowell Avenue. (8:58am) Finch eventually returned to remove the debris from the dumpster. (12:23pm)
- Police issued a parking ticket in the Market Basket parking lot for a handicap spot violation. (9:45am)
- A Taft Road caller reported two white males wearing shorts and possibly carrying a baseball bat were soliciting in the area and possibly attempted to enter doorways. Police were unable to locate the two men in questions. (2:42pm)
- Michael A. Guevarez (22, Lawrence) was issued on a summons for one count of larceny over $250 and two counts of larceny under $250. Thefts emanated from Target in Wilmington. (6:46pm)
- A McDonald’s employee called to report a customer was causing a disturbance in the drive-thru. When he was asked to leave, he flicked a penny at the caller’s chest before heading northbound on Main Street. Police were unable to locate them man. (10:40pm)
