POLICE LOG for June 27: Rollover In RMV Parking Lot; Drug Arrest

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are TEN highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Monday, June 27, 2016:

  • A Fiorenza Drive caller reported his house was just egged.  Caller followed a a blue vehicle she believed may be responsible. Police spoke with the occupants of the blue vehicle and sent them on their way.  Police spoke with caller, who believe the eggs were purchased at Cumberland Farms due to packaging left at the scene.  Police visited the Cumberland Farms in Wilmington, but employee did not believe eggs were purchased from the location. (12:09am)
  • An employee from Silverio Construction on Woburn Street reported that, sometime last night, items were stolen from one of their trailers. (8:01am)
  • Animal Control Officer responded to a call that baby birds fell out of a tree on Woodland Road. (9:54am)
  • Police received multiple calls of a vehicle rollover in the parking lot at the Registry of Motor Vehicles on Middlesex Avenue. A vehicle struck at least four other vehicles and rolled over. Driver received a citation for driving on or over a traffic island. At least two vehicles were towed.  One individual was transported to a hospital by the Fire Department with unspecified injuries.   • A large truck took down power lines in front of the Winchester Family Medical Center on Salem Street. RMLD and Verizon were notified. A blue 2014 Nissan Sentra parked in the center’s parking lot suffered damage from the downed wires. (12:20pm)
  • A caller reported a bike was taken from Santander Bank on Main Street.  Bike was black with purple rims. Theft was possibly captured on security camera. Police will follow up with bank. (2:25pm)
  • Police quickly located the stolen bicycle being ridden by a child behind Nichols Funeral Home.  Police transported the child home.  Bike was returned to owner. (3:37pm)
  • Fire Department responded to a brush fire on Burlington Avenue. (4:29pm)
  • Police arrested Christopher A. Sherman (41, Chlemsford) for possession of a Class A drug.  Police were called after suspicious activity was reported in the Dunkin Donuts parking lot on Ballardvale Street. (6:45pm)
  • 2 juveniles were reported missing from Milestone Group Home on High Street. (11:41pm)
