POLICE LOG for June 23: Man Arrested For Threatening To ‘Shoot Up’ Wilmington Business

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are FIVE highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Thursday, June 23, 2016:

  • Olympio Ravelo (36, Somerville) and Christopher Feliz (34, Quincy) were placed in protective custody by police. The vehicle they were traveling in was towed from AFGA on Ballardvale Street. (12:52am)
  • An injured baby skunk was removed from Blackstone Street and will be taken to a rehab. (8:20am)
  • A caller reported they locked their two year-old in their vehicle. Onstar was able to unlock the vehicle remotely. (11:13am)
  • An ex-employee of ‘Art of the Event’ on Middlesex Avenue made threats he was “going to shoot up the place.”  Police traced ex-employee’s cell phone.  Police put out a BOLO for the suspect.  Police arrested Kyle L. Johns (33, Medford) for making a bomb/hijack threat with serious public alarm.  Johns was pulled over in his 1998 Honda Civic on Concord Street at the 93 overpass. (4:34pm)
  • 2 bikes were reported stolen from a Faneuil Drive backyard. A Blanchard Road caller later found a bike.  Police retrieved found bike, which did belong to the Fanueil Drive caller.  Someone had tried to paint over the bike’s labels. (4:35pm)
