WILMINGTON, MA — Carmon Cunningham, owner of The Cleaner Spot in Wilmington and former Wilmington Chamber of Commerce President, has passed away.
The Chamber released the following message on Wednesday:
The Wilmington Chamber of Commerce is deeply saddened to learn of Carmon’s passing. When Carmon opened the doors to The Cleaner Spot in 2009, he immediately embraced every aspect of our community. He joined our Chamber of Commerce right away, has been on our Board of Directors for the past 5 years, serving as our President in 2013 and 2014. Carmon was also very involved in a host of community and business organizations and charitable endeavors; including BNI, We’re One Wilmington, the Wilmington School Business Partnership and others.
There are so many words to describe Carmon: caring, generous, intelligent, hard-working, respectful, sincere, polished, and a true professional. He cared about every one of his employees and customers. He had a genuine interest in all their lives and knew everyone by name. Exemplary customer service wasn’t just a good business practice for Carmon it was just who he was and how he lived his life.
Carmon was a gift to our community. We are all better to have known him. The Town of Wilmington will feel his absence.
Our condolences to all his family, friends, staff and loved ones.
