MALDEN, MA — Congratulations to the many foreign language students who attained national recognition for excellent performance on the 2016 National Spanish Examinations, including Wilmington’s Stephen Cardarelli (Class of 2017), who earned a Bronze Medal.
MC students earned a total of 32 gold, 31 silver and 12 bronze medals. Malden Catholic High School students have a long history of high achievement on these exams and were taught by Spanish teachers, Maria Crotty, and Angelo Bosco. “Mr. Bosco and I are extremely proud of this wonderful accomplishment,” said Mrs. Maria Crotty. “Students in all four years’ work throughout the year in order to develop their proficiency and achievement in the Spanish Language. Felicidades a todos.”
The National Spanish Examinations are administered each year in grades 6 through 12, and are sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese.
