5 Things To Do In Wilmington Today (June 18, 2016)

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are FIVE things to do today in Wilmington on Saturday, June 18, 2016.

#1) A fundraiser is being held for Brodie Rawson, an 8 year-old Wilmington boy who was recently diagnosed with lymphoma, on Saturday, June 18, from 5pm to 9pm, at Villanova Hall (126 Middlesex Avenue). The evening will feature a DJ, dancing, raffle items and auction items. Items include Bruins tickets, Patriots tickets, Red Sox tickets, a Windows tablet, and more.

#2) The Northeast Comic Con & Collectibles Extravaganza takes place this weekend at the Shriners Auditorium (99 Fordham Road) — Saturday, June 18, 10am-6pm and Sunday, June 19, 10am-5pm.  Learn more HERE.

#3) The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) kicks off its Kids Summer Reading Program with Mike Bent’s “Let’s Get Moving” Magic Show at 11am.  The event is currently full with a waiting list.  Learn more HERE.

#4) The 5th Annual Chern Memorial Golf Tournament, in honor of popular Wilmington Middle School social studies teacher Doug Chernovetz who passed away in 2011 at the age of 42, takes place at the Mohegan Sun Golf Club (7 Downs Lane, Baltic, CT). Registration begins at 10:30am. Shotgun start at 12:30pm. A reception with awards and raffles will take place at 5pm.  Learn more HERE.
