“It’s amazing what you and your staff do on behalf of the residents of Wilmington,” Selectman Kevin Caira told Cipriani. “The amount of work you put in to put these programs together is quite intensive. It’s a great program for Wilmington.”

“You do a fantastic job, not only with the youth, but with the seniors in this community,” added Selectman Mike McCoy. “As an employee of this town, you do a fantastic job.”

“You and your team are a true asset within the community,” Selectman Mike Champoux said to Cipriani. “Wilmington has a lot of pride in what it provides to its residents.  And the [Recreation Department] is one of those things.”

“You are just a ray of sunshine,” noted Selectwoman Judy O’Connell.  “You make a different to so many families in town — whether it’s a child, adult or senior. You truly extend a hand to help people engage in the community and find their place.”

O’Connell also praised Cipriani’s work on the Yentile Farm Development Committee and her role in the creation of the Town’s Dog Park which opened earlier this week, adding she deserves “a tremendous amount of the credit.”

“It’s exciting to see Debbie and her staff’s plans,” added Assistant Town Manager Kendra Amaral, who was sitting in for Town Manager Jeff Hull.  “They are never behind the curve and are always thinking ahead…  They’re always aware of what people want and able to [provide] it.”
