Farm League:
Astros vs. Giants — Saturday, June 11, 2016
The Astros wrapped up the regular season in style with yet another offensive and defensive showcase. Kevin Pruslin pitched well and made an outstanding play on a screaming grounder which he vacuumed up and fired to first for the out. Ryan Gray and Erin McCarthy combined for several nice putouts in the infield and the two of them combined for a shutdown inning on the mound as well. Mikey Taylor and Quinn Stockman were two of the others who contributed on defense. The bats were smoking as always with everyone making solid contact multiple times. Taylor and McCarthy lead the way with 4-for-4 games including multiple bombs into the outfield. Connor Sullivan, Evan Cummings, James Passerini, and Gray each had three hits and Roman DiZoglio, Chris DeFilippo, Dylan Alexander, Stockman, and Pruslin contributed on offense as well. The Giants played an excellent game as well with an impressive offensive showing and some great plays in the field combined with strong pitching performances. Joey Fennelly, Cam Saija, Will Poyant, and Tommy Pereira were just some of the stars.
