WILDCAT WAKEUP: Gaudreau, Sperlinga, Aldrich & Godfrey Shine For Boys Track

WILMINGTON, MA — The WHS Boys Track team had some excellent performances at the Division 3 State Track meet at Burlington High last Saturday:

  • Joe Gaudreau won the 200 meters with a school record time of 22.15. The record he broke was set by Mike Esposito in 1971.  Gaudreau will be ranked 4th at All-States.
  • The 4 x 100 team of Evan Sperlinga, Brad Aldrich, Steve Godfrey, and Joe Gaudreau broke their own school record with 43.82 and placed 4th overall.  They will be ranked 10th at All-States.
  • Kyle Nelson placed 3rd in the shot put with 50’5″.  He will be ranked 11th at All-States.
  • Evan Sperlinga placed 6th in the 100 meter dash with 11.38.
  • The 4 x 800 team of Justin Ekstrom, Ray Russell, DJ Kenney and Russell Abbott placed 11th with a time of 8:40.
  • Deven Langenfeld placed 11th in the triple jump with 40’7.5″ and 22nd in the 110 meter hurdles with 17.23.
  • Dan Judkins placed 20th in the 400 meter hurdles with 63.43.
  • Tate Kennedy placed 14th in the javelin with 127-5.
