WILMINGTON, MA — Wilmington High School Sociology teacher Tracy Kassin recently tasked her students with answering the following question: “What makes Wilmington unique?”
Students were then assigned to blog about their perspectives and views of our community. Students included their own photos in each post.
Here’s a sampling:
- Sam Pitzi and Julia Gake discuss the town’s strong patriotism.
- Jocelyn Ferraro discusses how the town does a good job honoring its soldiers and veterans, as does Evan Sperlinga and Brad Aldrich.
- Jessica B. and Lily See blog about how the town comes together in difficult times.
- Julia Curran focuses on the importance Wilmington places on music.
- T. Miele highlights Wilmington’s love for sports, as does Alexa P. and Christina N. Charlotte Sulick and Elisabeth Olson write about the high school’s girls track and field program.
- Justine Surrette and Erin O’Connor discuss the high school’s after school clubs and extracurricular activities.
- Courtney M., Erin M. and Jill L. discuss the town’s value on school safety.
