10 Things To Do In Wilmington Today (May 25, 2016)

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are TEN things to do today in Wilmington on Wednesday, May 25, 2016.

#1) Red Heat Tavern (300 Lowell Street) will donate 10% of all dine-in profit (minus alcohol) to the Wilmington Youth Lacrosse Association from 4pm to 10pm.  There is no flyer required to give to the server.

#2) WAAF will be in Wilmington from 1:30pm to 3:30pm at the Dunkin Donuts on Concord Street (66 Concord Street). Residents are invited to join Boston’s Rock Station to celebrate Iced Coffee Day with music, games, and prizes, while raising fund for Boston Children’s Hospital with the purchase of every iced coffee.

#3) Do you have a son entering Grades 1 to 5?  Bring him down to the Cub Scout Pack 56’s Registration Night at Villanova Hall (126 Middlesex Avenue) at 7pm. The event will feature a free science show from “The Mad Scientist of Boston.”  The Pack’s adult leaders will be present to provide information to perspective members and answer any questions.  Parents will be able to sign their kids up for summer activities, including the popular Cub Scout Day Camp.

#4) The Wilmington School Committee meets at 7pm at the High School (Large Instruction Room). An Executive Session precedes the meeting at 6:30pm. Read the agenda HERE.

#5) The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding THREE programs — Device Drop In (2pm-3pm); First Look Book Group (3:45pm-4:45pm); and Music & More with Bernadette Baird (6:30pm-7:15pm).  Learn more and, if necessary, register HERE.

#6) WHS Boys Tennis hosts Winchester at 3:30pm at Wilmington High School.

#7) The Wilmington Senior Center (15 School Street) is holding its normal Wednesday activities — SBF Exercise (9:45am); Special Exercise (11am); Country Line Dancing (1pm); 3B Fitness (2pm); and Gentle Yoga (3:45pm).

#8) The Wilmington Police Department offers safety seat installs at the Wilmington Public Safety Building (1 Adelaide Street) every Wednesday, 10am-2pm. No appointment is necessary, but calling ahead at 978-658-5071 is recommended. Learn more HERE.
