SELECTMEN NEWS: Big Issues To Be Discussed At Tonight’s Meeting

WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Board of Selectmen meets this Monday, May 23 at 7pm in Room 9 of Town Hall.

There is a great deal on the agenda, including:

  • Selectmen will discuss the concerns Selectman Mike McCoy have recently been raising relative to the Finance Committee Appointment Process last year and allegations he’s made against Selectwoman O’Connell and former Selectman Newhouse.
  • Selectmen will finalize the rules and regulations relative to the new Wilmington Town Dog Park, opening next month.
  • Selectmen will discuss a memo from Town Counsel John Foskett regarding the latest in the New England Transrail proposal.
  • Selectmen will hear a presentation from Library Director Tina Stewart, who will update the board on the library’s latest programs.
  • Selectmen will discuss a memo from Town Accountant Michael Morris regarding snow reimbursement funds possibly available from FEMA.
  • Selectmen will consider the appointment of Carol Hilbinger to the Wilmington Conservation Commission.
  • Selectmen will receive a ‘thank you letter’ to Wilmington Good Guy Scott Garrant.
  • Selectmen will set its summer schedule, likely deciding to meeting just one once in July (July 11) and August (August 15).

The meeting will be telecast live by Wilmington Community Television on WCTV-G — Channel 22 on Comcast and Channel 38 on Verizon.  The meeting will also be streamed on WCTV’s website HERE.
