2 Restaurants With Wilmington Ties To Compete In ‘Battle of the Burger’

WILMINGTON, MA — Two burgers with ties to Wilmington are vying for supremacy in the Boston Magazine’s Battle of the Burger.

The Nola from Red Heat Tavern in Wilmington is a ground andouille sausage and beef burger with creole seasoning, boiled crawfish tails, Old Bay beer aioli, jasper roasted green tomato and corn relish, celery leaves on a potato bun.  It was created by Chef Alan Frati and Dan Greenough.

The Whiskey Tango Foxtrot from the Boston Burger Company has 80/20 certified angus beef with homemade mac and cheese, pulled pork, onion ring, homemade BBQ sauce, and Grillo’s pickles.  It was  created by Chef Paul Malvone of Wilmington.

Vote daily (every 24 hours) HERE until July 6 to ensure these two burgers make it to the live burger competition on August 9-10 at Cruiseport Boston.  Voters will be eligible to win tickets to the event.
