WILMINGTON, MA — Here are TEN things to do today in Wilmington on Thursday, May 19, 2016.
#1) Wilmington High School’s Lamplighters Drama Guild presents CATS on Thursday, May 19, Friday, May 20, and Saturday, May 21 at 7pm. This musical, composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber, will be performed in the Wilmington High School Auditorium (159 Church Street). Tickets cost $15 for adults and $12 for students, seniors (65 & older), and children (under 10). Tickets can be purchased online HERE.
#2) The Wilmington Department of Veterans Services invites all Wilmington veterans – and their families – to an informational evening from 7pm to 10pm at the Friendship Lodge (32 Church Street). The program is designed to teach veterans and veterans’ family members about all the benefits they have earned. Learn more HERE.
#3) The Wilmington Cemetery Commission meets at 8am at Town Hall (Room 9). Read the agenda HERE.
#4) The Wilmington Elderly Services Commission meets at 1:30pm in the Senior Center. The agenda will be posted HERE.
#5) The Wilmington Water & Sewer Commission meets at 5:30pm at Town Hall (Room 9). The agenda will be posted HERE.
#6) The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding THREE free events — WMS Jr. Jazz Band and the Flarinets In Concert (2:30pm-3:30pm); Crafternoons: Cupcake Flower Lights (3:45pm-4:45pm); and Fiction Book Group Meeting (7pm-8:30pm). Learn more and register HERE.
#7) The Wilmington Senior Center (15 School Street) is holding its normal Thursday activities — Computer Class (9:15am); Art Class (10am); Aerobics (10:30am); Knitting/Crocheting (11am); and Games Day (1pm).
#8) The WHS Boys & Girls Track Teams travel to Watertown High for a meet at 3:30pm.
