5 Things To Do In Wilmington Today (May 16, 2016)

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are TEN things to do today in Wilmington on Monday, May 16, 2016.

#1) The Pack 136 Cub Scouts of Wilmington is holding a “Dining For A Cause” Fundraiser at the 99 Restaurant (144 Lowell Street) from 4pm to 11pm. Bring the flyer HERE and 15% of your bill will be donated to the Pack. Funds raised will allow the Bears of Cub Scout Pack 136 to purchase kits to build 3D prosthetic hands for kids born with a limb difference. One of the hands will be for one of Wilmington’s very own Bear cubs.

#2) The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding TWO programs — Little Movers (10am-11pm) and Read To Zoey (6:30pm-7:30pm). Learn more and, if required, register HERE.

#3) Four Wilmington High School varsity teams are scheduled to compete today.

  • WHS Boys Tennis @ Stoneham — 3:30pm —Stoneham High School
  • WHS Girls Tennis vs. Stoneham — 3:30pm — Wilmington High School
  • WHS Softball vs. Watertown — 6pm — Wilmington Town Park (Route 38)
  • WHS Baseball @ Watertown — 7pm — Watertown High School

#4) The Wilmington Senior Center (15 School Street) is holding its typical Monday activities — Blood Pressure Clinic (9:30am); SBF Exercise (9:45am); Special Exercise (11am); Knitting/Crocheting (11am); and Quilting (1pm).

#5) TRAFFIC ADVISORY: The Wilmington Department of Public Works will be resurfacing Dexter St. (Main St. to Silverhust Ave.), Silver Lake Ave., Silverhurst Ave., Everett Ave.(from Faulkner Ave. to Cunningham St.), Beeching Ave. (from Faulkner Ave. to Cunningham St.), and Cunningham St. (from Everett Ave. to #48 Cunningham St.) starting today.
