WILMINGTON, MA — On April 10th, Hair Cuttery celebrated the one year anniversary of its grand opening in Wilmington, MA. To commemorate the occasion the salon helped raise money and awareness for the Wilmington Educational Foundation. From April 10th – 16th, Hair Cuttery donated five percent of all proceeds to the charity and was able to raise $500 to help this great cause.
The Wilmington Educational Foundation is a non-profit that provides support to the Wilmington Public School System through fundraising efforts from various sources. Funds raised are used to award grants for innovative and creative programs that are not covered in the current year’s school district budget.
“The Wilmington Educational Foundation is a wonderful charity that provides much needed support and contributions to the Wilmington Public School System,” said Lisa Boule, Hair Cuttery Salon Leader. “We were thrilled to partner with the Wilmington Educational Foundation and look forward to continuing our support of local charities and causes that impact our neighbors,” said Boule.
Hair Cuttery has an established legacy of charitable support. For the past 16 years, it has sponsored Share A Haircut, a national charitable campaign aimed at giving free back-to-school haircuts to children in need as well as haircuts for the homeless. Through partnerships with local social service agencies, Hair Cuttery has donated more than 125,000 haircuts in the last year and more than 950,000 haircuts since the program’s inception in 1999. Hair Cuttery salons also support local charities and community causes through cut-a-thons and donations.
