WILMINGTON, MA – At the end of Monday’s Selectmen’s Meeting, Town Manager Jeff Hull took a moment to discuss a hot topic in town – the new traffic lights at the intersections of Wildwood Street, Middlesex Avenue and Glen Road.
The lights are currently in a “test mode” for 30 days, explained Hull. They were activated on Friday, May 6 and will continue in this mode through (at least) Monday, June 6.
The Massachusetts Department of Transportation will then make signal adjustments, taking into account feedback from the Town’s Department of Public Works and the project’s contractor, MDR Construction.
“There are sequence issues that need to be addressed,” acknowledged Hull, who noted Town Hall and DPW have received complaints and comments from residents.
“We encourage people to be patient,” continued Hull. “We are cognizant of the concerns and will look to address them.”
