SELECTMEN NEWS: Big Issues To Be Discussed At Monday’s Meeting

WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Board of Selectmen meets this upcoming Monday, May 9 at 7pm in Room 9 of Town Hall.

There is a great deal on the agenda, including:

  • Selectmen will hear a presentation from the Fun on the Fourth Committee and consider their request to use the Town Common for its annual Fourth of July festivities.
  • Selectmen will hear a presentation from Wilmington Animal Control Officer Christopher Sullivan and Wilmington Recreation Director Deborah Cipriani explaining the rules and regulations for the forthcoming Wilmington Town Dog Park.
  • Selectmen will hear a presentation from the Wilmington Relay For Life Committee regarding the upcoming 8th Annual Wilmington Relay For Life.
  • Selectmen will consider a request to hold the 2nd annual Tony A 5K Road Race.
  • Town Manager Jeff Hull will announce his appointments and reappointments to a variety of town boards, commissions and committees, plus Town Counsel and constables.
  • Selectmen will undergo their annual “reorganization” and consider appointing a new Chair.

The meeting will be telecast live by Wilmington Community Television on WCTV-G — Channel 22 on Comcast and Channel 38 on Verizon.  The meeting will also be streamed on WCTV’s website HERE.
