POLICE LOG for April 28: Car vs. Hydrant; Group Home Teens Missing; Broken Glass On Courts

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are NINE highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Thursday, April 28, 2016:

  • A gray 2011 Jeep Liberty and a white 2012 Nissan Juke were involved in a crash on the 93 South Exit 39 ramp. No injuries reported. One vehicle was towed. (8:03am)
  • A black 2015 Toyota Corolla struck a fire hydrant on Towpath Drive. Airbag deployed. No injury noted. Driver received citation for impeded operation. Vehicle caused damage to landscaping and grass at 19, 20 and 21 Towpath, plus a mailbox at 21. (10:16am)
  • Manager at Symbotic on Research Drive reported a recently terminated employee has returned and is sitting in his vehicle in the parking lot. Manager asked police to move him along.  Police responded, but vehicle had already left. Police spoke with manager about a no trespass order. (12:09pm)
  • A gray 2012 Toyota Camry and a blue 2005 Chrysler Town & Country were involved in a minor crash in the Savers parking lot. (12:13pm)
  • A school bus, carrying no students, broke down at Middlesex Avenue and High Street. (2:29pm)
  • 2 juveniles were reported missing from the Milestone Group Home on High Street. (3:04pm) Juveniles eventually returned. (8:31pm)
  • A good samaritan came into the station to report he found $150 in the Lucci’s parking lot. (4:10pm)
  • An Andover Street resident reported his vehicle was egged again last night. He caught the incident on camera, but camera was not at a good enough angle to get license plate or detailed description. Resident will reposition camera. (4:12pm)
  • A party reported broken glass along the fence line at the basketball courts at hotel Shawsheen School. Police notified DPW. (8:30pm)
