WORCESTER, MA — Assumption College honored 68 students with awards for academic excellence during the 32nd Annual Honors Convocation, held on April 20 in the Chapel of the Holy Spirit. Awards ranged from departmental honors to special recognitions, to Augustine Scholarships, the College’s highest academic honor.
During the ceremony, the following Wilmington students were honored:
- Sarah Johansson, a member of the Class of 2016, received the departmental award for English: writing and mass communications.
- Tyler Stillings, a member of the Class of 2016, received The Ray Marion Award in World History.
“The annual Honors Convocation is a recognition of the academic excellence achieved and demonstrated by our students,” said Louise Carroll Keeley, Ph.D., provost and vice president for academic affairs at Assumption College. “This event gives the College community-faculty, staff, friends and family-an opportunity to celebrate these students and their accomplishments.”
