WILMINGTON, MA — Here are TEN things to do today in Wilmington on Wednesday, May 4, 2016.
#1) Wilmington Little League is holding its annual Pasta Dinner from 5pm to 7pm at the Knights of Columbus Hall (126 Middlesex Avenue). The event raises funds for the Little League’s Scholarship Fund. Tickets cost $6 at the door.
#2) The Wilmington Conservation Commission meets at 7pm at Town Hall (Room 9). Read the agenda HERE.
#3) The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding THREE programs — Star Wars Day (all-day); Device Drop-In (2pm-3pm); and Steve Blunt Family Concert (6:30pm-7:30pm). Learn more and, if necessary, register HERE.
#4) The Wilmington Senior Center (15 School Street) is holding its normal Wednesday activities — SBF Exercise (9:45am); Special Exercise (11am); and Country Line Dancing (1pm).
#5) The Wilmington Police Department offers safety seat installs at the Wilmington Public Safety Building (1 Adelaide Street) every Wednesday, 10am-2pm. No appointment is necessary, but calling ahead at 978-658-5071 is recommended. Learn more HERE.
#6) The Friends of the Wilmington Memorial Library’s Book Store Next Door (183 Middlesex Avenue) is open from 10am to 4pm. All books are $2 or less! Every penny of every sale benefits the Wilmington Memorial Library. Learn more HERE.
#7) The Town’s Yard Waste Center, located off Old Main Street on the Wilmington/Woburn line, is open from 8am to 2pm.
#8) WHS Boys Tennis hosts Winchester at 3:30pm at Wilmington High School. WHS Girls Tennis travels to Winchester at 3:30pm at Winchester Swim & Tennis. WHS Baseball hosts Arlington at 3:45pm at Wilmington High School. WHS Softball hosts Arlington at 6pm at Wilmington Town Park (Route 38).
#9) The Wilmington Band Parents will hold their monthly meeting at 7pm in the WHS Band Room.
#10) Today is the final day that WHS students can bring in hygiene products as part of the WHS Local Heroes fundraiser. All products will be shipped overseas to the troops.
